The Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) has strongly advised all local government units to comply with the implementation of the electronic business one-stop shop (e-BOSS) for government transactions ahead of the June 17, 2021 deadline.

To conform with the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Delivery of Government Services Act, LGUs are mandated to establish their own e-BOSS so that, in order to simplify the process, the public can do government transactions online (e.g., form downloads and submission, applications, and use of e-signature). In an offline setting, or simply BOSS, transactions must all be done in a single window.

Failure to set up e-BOSS before the deadline may lead to a formal investigation and even an administrative case, according to ARTA. The agency recently inspected LGUs in Metro Manila and lauded Quezon City and Pasig City for their implementation of e-BOSS.

ARTA has also recently called for the use of PNPKI digital signatures for online payments.
