There are plenty of TWS earphones in the market, and the most popular right now are the budget-friendly ones. Unfortunately, in many cases, you get what you pay for. However, there are some that are affordable and can provide a good audio experience as well. One of them is the Omthing AirFree by 1MORE. Check out our hands-on below.

Out of the box, the Omthing AirFree looks like your typical TWS earphones. It comes in a slim case made of plastic with a matte finish. However, it’s very compact and light that you can easily slip it inside your pocket.

It’s got the Omthing branding at the top and a USB-C port at the back for charging.

Open the case, and you will be greeted by the TWS earphones. They’re the in-ear type but with shorter and wider stems compared to other TWS earphones. It’s also made of plastic, very light, but well-made.

It houses the four ENC microphones, touch controls, and LED indicator. It also supports magnetic charging and comes with multiple silicone tips.

Pairing is easy. All you need to do is open the case, and the LED will blink to indicate pairing. Go to your phone’s Bluetooth settings and select the Omthing AirFree. From there, you can start using the TWS. It will automatically connect to your phone using Bluetooth 5.0 the next time you open the case. If you want to tweak its settings and update its firmware, you may also download the Omthing app in the Google Play Store.

The Omthing AirFree is a joy to use especially if you like TWS earphones that are snug, light, and fit comfortably in the ears. It has an IPX4 rating, meaning it’s protected from sweat and water splashes so that you can use it during workouts or outdoor runs in the rain.

The Omthing AirFree sports 7mm dynamic drivers, which I think can provide an almost balanced sound quality. The mids are clear and rich, while the lows are full. The highs are crisp but tend to produce some distortion in higher volumes. There’s nothing ground-breaking, but we’re impressed with the audio it can produce given the price. I believe it can match other TWS earphones in the market that are priced PHP 1K higher.

When it comes to battery, the Omthing AirFree’s case has a 550mAh battery capacity. The company didn’t mention the earphones’ capacity or battery life, though, but we’re getting around 3 to 4 hours of use, which is the usual playback time for most TWS.

As for the price, the Omthing AirFree is available at Digital Walker for just PHP 1,690, which is really budget-friendly. So, if you’re looking for a light, well-made TWS earphones that can deliver an audio quality that is above its asking price, we recommend putting this one on your list.
