Not too long ago when the 60Hz refresh rate seems to be the standard for smartphones. Thanks to the Razer Phone for introducing the 120Hz refresh rate in 2017, we now get smartphones with up to 144Hz refresh rate, which is crazy. So if you want to cop one for yourself, here’s a list we got for you.

ASUS ROG Phone 3 series

Launched in July, the ASUS ROG Phone 3 sports an upgraded 6.59-inch AMOLED display, now capable of running at 144Hz, with 10-bit color, DCI-P3, and HDR10+ support. It features Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 865+ chipset, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1.

The more affordable Strix Edition, on the other hand, features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset, 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM, 256GB UFS 3.1.

The prices are as follow:

  • ROG Phone 3 Classic Edition – PHP 54,995 (16GB RAM + 512GB)
  • ROG Phone 3 Classic Edition – PHP 49,995 (12GB RAM + 512GB)
  • ROG Phone 3 Strix Edition – PHP 39,995 (8GB RAM + 256GB)

Nubia Red Magic 5G

Launched in March, Nubia’s Red Magic gaming smartphone lineup has added a new member, the Nubia Red Magic 5G. It sports a Snapdragon 865 chipset, has up to 16GB RAM, triple rear cameras, and a display with an intensely high 144Hz refresh rate.



The smartphone is priced as follows:

  • 8GB RAM + 128GB – CNY 4,099 
  • 12GB RAM + 256GB – CNY 4,399
  • 16GB RAM + 256GB – CNY 4,999

Lenovo Legion Phone Duel

Lenovo has officially unveiled its gaming smartphone, the Legion Phone Duel, in July that boasts a 6.65-inch display with a 144Hz refresh rate, Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus chipset, and 5G connectivity. This month, Lenovo Philippines has posted a teaser on their official Facebook page, hinting on the arrival of their gaming smartphone in the country. Other details, such as the price and the availability, are yet to be announced.

vivo iQOO Z1 5G

In May, vivo’s sub-brand iQOO announced the iQOO Z1 5G that features a 6.57-inch Full HD+ display running at 144Hz and covers 96% of the NTSC gamut. It’s the first smartphone to ship with the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ chipset, with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB internal storage.

The smartphone is priced as follows:

  • iQOO Z1 6GB + 128GB – CNY 2,198
  • iQOO Z1 8GB + 128GB – CNY 2,498
  • iQOO Z1 8GB + 256GB – CNY 2,798

vivo iQOO Neo 3

In April, iQOO made official the iQOO Neo 3. It features a 6.57-inch Full HD+ display, covering 96% of the NTSC gamut and HDR10 support. It runs on a Snapdragon 865 chipset, paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1.

The smartphone is priced as follows:

  • 6GB + 128GB – CNY 2,698
  • 8GB + 128GB – CNY 2,998
  • 12GB + 128GB – CNY 3,298
  • 8GB + 256GB – CNY 3,398
