Vivo Philippines has just recently launched its latest entry-level smartphone with the Y20i, and to a surprising twist—it sold like pancakes at an average of 10,000 units per day or equivalent to 30,000 units in just 3 days.
The success can probably be attributed to the low Php7,499 and decent specifications, in addition to reputation that Vivo has built since they entered the Philippine market.
Freebies that come bundled with a pre-order of the device are also likely playing contribution to the generated sales, which include a “premium headphones” and a cutesy “little V” USB night light.
As an entry-level device, the Vivo Y20i sports a 6.51 inches display, 11nm SD460 SoC, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable storage, and a 5,000 mAh battery, chargeable with a micro-USB at 10W.
In addition, the device also features a triple-camera layout at the rear, comprising of 13MP f/2.2 main shooter, 2MP f/2.4 macro camera, and a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor. At the front, it features a selfie camera at 8MP f/1.8. The Vivo Y20i runs on Funtouch OS on top of Android 10.
