Despite some hiccups caused by the pandemic, Apple has managed to reach two important milestones during the first quarter of the fiscal year 2021: a revenue that got past $100 billion for the first time in the company’s history, and the number of active iPhone users now currently at over 1 billion.

Specifically, the Cupertino company finished the quarter with a revenue of $111.4 billion, which is a 21-percent year-on-year increase. Apple CEO Tim Cook mentioned the results could have been higher had the pandemic and resulting lockdowns not affect the company’s production and retail store operations, especially with the launch of the new iPhone 12 series.
