The Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games (AIMAG) is including some video games as medal events next year.

The organisers for the 2021 Asian Indoor And Martial Arts Games (AIMAG), has chosen six games as medal events during the games to be held in Thailand.

The games that have been approved by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) include Legends of Runeterra, Tekken 7, DOTA 2, Assetto Corsa, Arena of Valor and One Lap E-Cycling. They will all be a medal event during the games.

The 6th Asian Indoor And Martial Arts Games is scheduled to commence on May 21, 2021. Host cities are Chonburi and Bangkok in Thailand.

Indoor sporting activities such as badminton, bowling, basketball and volleyball have been the main events of the Asian Indoor Martial Arts Games in the past. The 2017 edition of the games also had some esports included in the category. They include The King of Fighters XIV, StarCraft II, Hearthstone and DOTA 2.

In 2019 during the Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games), esports was historically included for the first time as a medal event and was officially approved by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
