There are tons of gaming phones launched in the past weeks. Black Shark is no exception to this. Just recently, the Chinese brand launched the new Black Shark 3S. It is pretty much similar to its predecessor but with only some tweaks.

The main difference lies on its 6.67-inch AMOLED display. It comes with an impressive 120Hz refresh rate, a major upgrade from the 90Hz of the Black Shark 3. The device also maintains a 270Hz touch rate similar to before. There are also voice commands where you can start screen recording without using your hands for control.

Internals-wise, the Black Shark 3S comes powered by a Snapdragon 865 processor. It also has a 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128/256/512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It also runs a JOYUI12 that has a screen mirroring feature that allows you to play games on your computer.

The other feature that remains unchanged is the 4,729mAh battery with 65W fast charging. According to the brand, it only takes 38 minutes for your phone to be fully charged. On the other hand, there’s also a magnetic adapter that allows you to play and charge in 18W.

The smartphone also maintained the same cameras as its predecessor. It still has a 64-megapixel main camera, a 13-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. Meanwhile, upfront is a 20-megapixel selfie camera. Just to note, it still has a bezel at the top for the front camera.

The device also comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner, 5G connectivity, headphone jack, and stereo speakers.

The Black Shark 3S 12GB+128GB model retails for a price of CNY4,000 or around Php28,200. The 12GB+128GB variant costs CNY4,300 or roughly Php30,300. Moreover, the top-of-the-line 512GB model retails for CNY 4,800 or Php33,800. The prices provided are only direct conversion and are before taxes.
