The Black Shark 3S is now official. Launched in China, this is the brand’s third gaming smartphone for the year.
In terms of specs and features, the Black Shark 3S sits in-between the Black Shark 3 and Black Shark 3 Pro.
The Black Shark 3S comes with a 6.7-inch full HD AMOLED display but with a 120Hz refresh rate (as opposed to the other two’s 90Hz). The 20:9 panel also features a 270Hz touch sampling rate, 17ms touch response rate, 500 nits of brightness, and a 105% DCI-P3 coverage.

Like its siblings, it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 864, but with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. It also has the same 4,720mAh battery with 65W fast charging via USB Type-C.
At the back are three cameras with a 64MP main, a 13MP wide-angle, and a 5MP depth sensor. It has a 20MP snapper for selfies.
The phone runs on their latest software, Joy UI 12, and features a host of gaming features, such as the pressure sensitive 3D touch controls, voice control 2.0, and a what they call somatosensory control which seem to be the touch shoulder buttons.

It will be initially available in China starting August 4, 2020. No news yet if it will be available in the Philippines, but its siblings, the Black Shark 3 and Black Shark 3 Pro can be purchased in Authorized Mi Stores.
