Blackmagic releases its most advanced premium digital film camera, the URSA Mini Pro 12K.
As its name suggests, the camera supports up to 12K resolution, thanks to its 80 MP Cinematic Super 35 12K sensor. It has a native ISO up to 800, up to 14 stops of dynamic range, and Generation 5 Color Science for better RAW image processing.
Ideal for capturing large-format videos with CGIs, the camera allows 4K, 8K, and 12K RAW video recording at 60, 110, and 220 FPS. with CFast or UHS?II cards simultaneously. It also allows editing 12K videos on a laptop, offers constant quality and constant bitrate encoding options for maintaining video quality, features an OLED viewfinder and oversampling for optimizing the post-production process; and offers wireless camera control via Blackmagic Camera Control and other third-party apps. It also has a flexible frame rate and resolution options.
Compatible with commercial cinema lenses, the camera has a 4-inch touchscreen display and provides connectivity ports for external flash disks, standard cables, output displays, broadcast lens control, and other accessories.
In terms of battery, the camera comes with a 4?pin XLR industry standard power connector that works with 12V to 18V external power supplies.
The camera also comes with a shoulder mount kit and a full version of DaVinci Resolve Studio, an all-in-one professional software tool for editing movies.
The Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro 12K is now available in the US and is priced at USD 9,995.
