At around 2 o'clock in the afternoon on November 17, 2020, fiber internet provider Converge ICT experienced a nationwide outage or service interruption due to a power-related incident in their data center.
As soon as the problem was felt by the company's thousands of subscribers, TechPinas' mailbox and messenger inbox were flooded by inquiries from our TP Friends and readers who enjoy internet via Converge on how they can get in touch with the company to get word on service restoration.
On that day, I did my best to answer all of the questions I received to help those in need. But I thought of also making this public service post for quick reference in the event that Converge customers experience another "no internet" service outage.
There are various ways that you can get in touch with Converge ICT.
The company has an Official Facebook Page (www.facebook.com/ConvergeICTOfficial) and Twitter Account (@Converge_CSU) although I noticed that they mostly use those for posting announcements more than answering direct questions or responding to customer feedback. Still, I think you should follow those if you're a subscriber just to stay abreast with press releases from Converge.
If you prefer getting in touch them through landline, you may do so at +632 8667 0848.
You may also file your complaints or report "no internet" incidences via email: servicedesk@convergeict.com or customercare@convergeict.com. Simply tell them the issue you are experiencing and provide your account name, account number, contact information. After which, you will receive a Ticket Number which you will have to take note of for follow-up inquiries. Many of my friends who are with Converge say that email support is still the fastest and most reliable way to get support from the company.
Earlier this year, Converge launched a new smartphone application for consumers - available for free download via Apple App Store for iPhone or Google Play Store for Android smartphones - which is called "Converge Xperience". If you wish you, you can open an account there using your Account Name, Account Number, email address, and contact number.
Using Converge Xperience mobile application, you can easily download a digital copy of your billing statement and check if you still have unpaid bills. You may also use the app for getting customer support through the embedded call to talk feature, although some of my friends who are Converge subscribers say that it's still easier to get help via email.
Last month, one of my readers experienced a service interruption from Converge. She was already at wits' end trying to get in touch with the company. I advised her to download the application to check if she doesn't have unpaid bills since there's a chance that the company simply cut her line because of it. She did just that and indeed, she saw in the app that she had an outstanding balance. She quickly settled it via online payment and her line was restores a few hours after.
So there you have it! If you found this TechPinas Public Service Post useful, don't forget to share it with your friends on social media, especially those who are also being serviced by Converged. Cheers!
