The Philippines sits at the number 42 position in terms of total number of confirmed cases but sadly, in the group of countries with 600 to 900 citizens who tested positive for COVID-19, our country is the worst in preventing mortality or death due to the disease.

Personally, I think the Philippine media should keep pointing this out and DOH should do more about it.

According to World Health Organization, COVID-19 is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus. The institution noted that most people infected with this coronavirus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. However, older people and those with underlying medical problems like cardiovascular disease, chronic respiratory disease, diabetes, and cancer are more likely to develop serious illness.

Let's keep praying for everyone's safety and for this pandemic to come to an end sooner than later. We all can help stop the spread of the virus by staying home and distancing ourselves physically from others until this crisis subsides. God bless us all!
