You’ve probably seen social media posts, or you yourself were able to detect DITO Telecommunity’s network signal within Luzon.

DITO Telecommunity responded by saying that these intermittent signals being detected within Luzon are probably due to its network optimization activities. These optimizations are done as DITO gears up to launch commercial services in more areas in the Philippines.

DITO initially launched its mobile network services in select areas in Visayas and Mindanao last March 8.

Now, a couple of posts on social media claim that they could detect DITO network signals in select areas of Luzon. Some users even said they were able to do speed tests.

As per DITO chief administrative officer Adel Tamano, they continuously do network optimization to ensure “excellent customer service” by the time it’s available in NCR and Luzon.

Tamano added that these optimization activities are possibly why some users are getting intermittent signals from them.

As of writing, DITO’s commercial services are only available in these locations, with more to be added in the coming months. Interested users should ensure that their smartphones are supported by DITO or have the right network band before getting a DITO SIM card.
