One of Tesla cars’ biggest features is their smart semi-automated driving feature. It can essentially maneuver itself without the driver touching anything. However, Tesla does say that driver supervision is still required in case things go south.

However, it looks like two men from Texas, USA, disregarded Tesla’s reminder. It’s been reported that a 2019 Tesla Model S hit a three and burst into fire, killing the two passengers onboard.

As per Sgt. Cinthya Umanzor of the Harris Country Constable Precinct 4, there was no one in the driver’s seat of the car.

Apparently, the Model S was running at high speed when it failed to figure out a curve, leading it to get off track, crash to a tree and catch fire.

After extinguishing the fire, the authorities were able to find one casualty on the passenger seat and one on the back seat. No one was in the driver’s seat.

This isn’t the first time a similar accident occurred. In fact, a lot of recent road accidents in the US blames Tesla’s semi-automated driving feature.
