The month of April brought lots of interesting devices, we got the usual smartphones, a gaming smartphone, and gaming laptops. What else did we review last month? Find out in this compilation.

The vivo Y20s [G] has its pros up its sleeve, such as its impressive battery life, bright display, good for casual gaming, and a pretty good set of cameras. Its performance is what you would expect for an entry-level phone, and for sure, it will be priced as such. However, we still find the micro USB port and the 720p video playback resolution to be a bummer. If you can live with its limitations, then we can say that Vivo Y20s [G] is still a great phone for you.
The ROG Phone 5 is, without a doubt, one of the most powerful smartphones out there. While there are other flagship devices in the market with Snapdragon 888, this smartphone can provide the best gaming experience possible. Aside from the handy gaming software and hardware features, it can also accommodate the company’s newer accessories to improve the experience.
The OPPO A74 has an official price of PHP 11,999. With this, you get that dashing AMOLED display, massive battery, deliverable performance, and decent camera capabilities. On its own, it’s quite a well-rounded device for casual day-to-day use. There are better-performing smartphones out there if you’re willing to shell out PHP 1-2000 more, but I’d probably choose this over because of its outstanding display and battery life.
The Galaxy A52 is an interesting device given that it has two versions in the Philippine market. The one that we have is the 4G version that is priced at PHP 18,990, while the other is the 5G version with a more powerful chipset, higher refresh rate, and 5G connectivity for a more expensive PHP 23,990. Is it a good upgrade to the Galaxy A51? Yes, it is. Should you get one? If you’re okay not having the bells and whistles of the Galaxy A52 5G, and have a lower budget, then we think it’s a good buy.
The realme C25 is what we consider a budget smartphone because of its PHP 7,490 price tag. There’s even a launch promo where you can get it for just PHP 5,990. But for that price, you’re getting a solid build, a capable processor, large storage, triple-rear cameras, and a huge battery. If this is an entry-level device, then realme has basically set a new benchmark. And if you’re a casual user who’s just looking for a device to keep you connected online without breaking the bank, keep this device in mind.
The Samsung Galaxy A72 is officially available for PHP 23,990. And as I’ve mentioned, it’s quite in a risky spot because first, it only got minimal improvements from its predecessor the A71, then there’s the competition in its price range with other phones offering better performance and cameras. It does however give the advantage of being a familiar Samsung device with an attractive design and large battery capacity.
The TCL 10 5G is priced at PHP 17,990, which makes it one of the most affordable 5G-enabled smartphones in the country. It has a nice screen, great cameras, and long battery life. However, it faces tough competition in this price range as there are more powerful devices under PHP 20K that also have 5G. Not to mention dual-SIM capable. Still, it’s a welcome addition to the growing list of affordable 5G smartphones.
The Legion 5 Pro is one of the best gaming laptops you can get on the market. It’s got a big screen with slim bezels with a 16:10 aspect ratio, QHD resolution, and fast 165Hz refresh rate; a powerful AMD Ryzen 7 5800H processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 GPU, 16GB of RAM, and 1TB SSD. Add to the slew of ports and software features to ensure enhanced gameplay.
