The -ber months are finally here and that usually signals that we’re in the last few months of 2020. And that also means there are still more devices that will come out in the next few months. But before we get excited, check out the products we reviewed for the month of August.

The Ryzen 9 3900XT is not a processor that most users need, as the performance in a typical office workload is virtually the same compared to the more affordable models. It’s also not advisable when building a gaming PC, as the additional costs can be allocated on a better GPU, monitor, or peripherals that will have a more tangible effect on your gaming experience.
For Php23,990, the nova 7 5G is truly a more premium version of the nova 7SE 5G and a great mid-ranger phone. It has better display quality since it sports an OLED panel and now comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner that works well. Apart from that, the device’s performance is excellent. You also get impressive cameras and battery life.
Compared to the OPPO Reno3, the Reno4 did receive a lot of improvements. It’s got better performance, faster-charging, more attractive design, and impressive cameras. First-time Reno buyers will definitely like this, however, those who just recently bought the Reno3 might get upset about the quick succession.
For less than PHP 7,000, the C15 is definitely an upgrade compared to the realme C11 released last month. It has bigger storage, more cameras with better resolution, and a very huge 6,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging, making it a better choice if you have a bigger budget. If you’re a consumer looking for a solid daily driver for light to moderate tasks, that can function as a pocket WiFi and can cater to your binge-watching needs, then we recommend the realme C15!
We’re at a point where 5G capabilities in mid-range devices aren’t new anymore but are always nice to keep, just in case. For PHP 21,990, the OnePlus Nord is currently on top of my recommendations list for 5G-ready mid-rangers available today. Besides the premium design and outstanding display, it packs excellent performance and cameras that won’t let you down. And you can always rely on its 30W Warp Charge despite its average battery capacity. But most of all, it has Google Mobile Services from the get-go.
The Redmi 9C exists to provide users with a smartphone with a large screen, capable performance, versatile cameras, and long battery life, without breaking the bank. At PHP 5,290 for the 2GB + 32GB model, this makes it one of the most affordable and compelling smartphones for its class. However, we recommend getting the 3GB + 64GB model for PHP 5,990, which is just an additional PHP 700. That would provide you better multitasking capabilities and more storage, and therefore, more value for your money.
