Rugged smartwatches are usually aimed at people with an active lifestyle. But Garmin, in partnership with the French pro esports org Team Vitality, has unveiled a new watch designed specifically for gamers: the Garmin Instinct Esports Edition. It’s now available in the Philippines.

While many of its features are found in other smartwatches, the Instinct Esports Edition is programmed to track the user’s esports activity. For instance, it will monitor and analyze heart beats and stress levels of the user during gaming sessions in order to provide long-term analysis.

The watch will also have an accompanying PC software called STR3AMUP!, which is essentially a streaming tool but with an added feature that allows the player to show his health data in real-time to his audience.

Other features of the Instinct Esports Edition include offering suggestions on sleeping patters, smartphone pairing for notifications and alerts, and more than 30 sports-related apps. It also has a three-day battery life in esports mode and up to 14 days on smartwatch mode.

Gamers interested in the Instinct Esports Edition will be able to get the smartwatch at official Garmin stores and at online retailers, such as Lazada, Shopee and Zalora. The suggested retail price is ₱16,995.
