Globe gets an improved mobile consistency score of 56.83% in Q3 2020 on Ookla.
The independent analytics firm, Ookla, has recently released its quarterly data that shows that Globe’s Consistency Score improved to 56.83% in Q3 2020 from 48.56% in Q2 2020. On the other hand, the Regional Consistency Score shows improvement across the Philippine regions with scores ranging from 31% and 62% in Q3 2020, including high density and typhoon-prone areas like Central Luzon Bicol and Eastern Visayas. Meanwhile, Metro Manila got the highest consistency score of 61.68% based on “All Technology.”
Mobile Consistency Score is identified to measure the number of incidences (viewed as a percentage) of a provider’s samples equal or exceeds both a download threshold of 5Mbps and an upload threshold of 1 Mbps.
According to Globe, the recent report marks the significant improvements in mobile data experience due to its accelerated cell site builds. The company’s network infrastructure developments, driven by its new site builds and network upgrades all across regions, are now being validated by an increase in mobile consistency scores.
“Filipinos deserve better internet services that deliver consistently, as connectivity has already become a critical need. We are glad that our network improvements are measurable and, more importantly, realistically felt by our customers across the country. This is part of our commitment to provide internet access to all Filipinos,” Globe’s Chief Technology and Information Officer, Gil Genio stated.
