Google Philippines and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) partner in launching a series of free digital upskilling training sessions for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), dubbed as MSME Caravan Mondays.
With its initial announcement last February 2020 for its partnership with DTI, MSME Caravan is a local Grow with Google program. It is a program that targets to help small businesses grow through digitals tools such as Google My Business and Primer app, which includes access to experts. Despite the ongoing pandemic, the program has reached more than 30,000 MSMEs nationwide through virtual events and partnerships.
Back in October 2020, Google has introduced economic recovery initiatives that help small businesses cope with the challenges that COVID-19 brought. The programs included free listings on the Google shopping tab for retailers Google Maps for local tourism and free social media webinars on negosyo and digital tips. Google and DTI will continue this aid through their launch of MSME Caravan Mondays.
Featuring speakers from Google, the topics of the webinars will be as follows:
Note that each module will run for an estimated time of 60 minutes which includes Q&A at the end.
MSME Caravan Mondays will be held weekly starting March 8 to April 26 on DTI’s Facebook page at 10:00 AM. Each training session will be uploaded on DTI’s Youtube channel right after. Attendees may register through this link.
