Honor has officially launched the Honor 30 Lite, its latest affordable 5G smartphone. The handset will be available in China starting from July 8, with the price of the base model tagged at CNY 1,700 or around Php12,000 before taxes in PH.

The Honor 30 Lite 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 800 chipset, which pairs four large ARM Cortex-A76 cores with four efficient power ARM Cortex-A55 cores, both operating up to 2GHz.

It comes in a base model with 6GB of RAM and storage of 64GB, and a high-end variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage. The 30 Lite 5G runs on Android 10 with Magic UI 3.1. Unfortunately, Google services are not available.

The front of the Honor 30 Lite has a 6.5 inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1080p+, with a refresh rate of 90Hz and a touch sampling rate of 180Hz for instantaneous responses and smooth animation. Inside the teardrop notch on the top edge is a 16-megapixel selfie camera, which can be used for face unlock instead of the fingerprint reader mounted on the side.

On the back of the phone is the main 48-megapixel camera with f/1.8 aperture and a big 1/2” sensor, which can rhecord 4K video with EIS and Super Night Mode support. Located on the left is the 8-megapixel ultra-wide snapper and on the right a 2MP depth sensor.

The battery capacity of the phone is 4,000mAh, with fast charge support up to 22.5W via the USB type C port, it can up to 50% in 30 minutes. Also available is a 3.5mm headphone jack, Wi-Fi 5 wireless connectivity, and dual. Though it’s a dual SIM, you will not be able to use both SIMs if you intend to expand the storage, because it only supports NM memory cards.

As stated earlier, the sale of the Honor 30 Lite is expected to start from July 8. As for the prices, the base model with 6GB/64GB memory is priced at CNY 1,700, with the option to double the storage at an additional cost of CNY 200. The price of the 8GB/128GB model is tagged at CNY 2,200.
