BDO’s Online and Mobile Banking services offer a lot of handy features, including sending money to your loved ones. For those who live in rural areas and do not have access to the internet, the best way to do it is through remittance centers and banks. In this article, we’ll teach you how to send cash from your BDO online and mobile banking accounts to partner remittance centers.
Available on the BDO website and the mobile banking app, the cash pick-up feature allows users to send cash from their BDO Savings and Checking accounts, as well as Cash Cards. For smoother online banking experience, we highly recommend users to log in and transact before and after peak hours (10 AM to 4 PM). Customers may choose among the following partner remittance centers: Palawan Pawnshop, RD Pawnshop, Villarica Pawnshop, BDO Network Bank, Cebuana Lhuillier, M. Lhuillier Kwarta Padala, BDO Remit counters on The SM Store and SM Business Services, and BDO Branches nationwide.
For the sender:
Via BDO Mobile Banking
1. Log in to BDO Mobile Banking in iOS or Android.
2. Select Send Money which can be found at the bottom part of the screen.
3. Tap Cash Pick Up at any BDO Branch/Partner
4. Under the Transaction Type, choose one from the following: Pick-up Cash Anywhere (for Palawan Pawnshop, RD Pawnshop, Villarica Pawnshop, BDO Network Bank, BDO branches, The SM Store, and SM Business Services nationwide), Pick-up Cash Cebuana (for Cebuana Lhuillier), and Pick-up Cash MLKP (for M. Lhuillier Kwarta Padala)
5. Fill in the details on the form and tap Confirm.
• Sender’s name (first name, middle initial, last name)
• Account of the Sender
• Sender’s contact number, address, birth date (month, date, year)
• Amount to be sent by the sender
• Receiver’s name (first name, middle initial, last name)
• Receiver’s mobile number
• Receiver’s contact number, address, birth date (month, date, year), and gender
• Message to the receiver
• Purpose of Transaction
6. Double-check the information submitted and tap Continue.
7. After the transaction confirmation, get the reference number under Send Money in the bottom menu. Go to View Transaction Status then tap For Cash Pick Up.
8. Share the reference number with the receiver.
Note: You may also get the reference number through email notification.
Via BDO Online Banking
1. Log in to BDO online banking.
2. Select Send Money which can be found on the left part of the screen.
3. Click Cash Pick Up at any BDO Branch/Partner
4. Under the Transaction Type, choose one from the following: Pick-up Cash Anywhere (for Palawan Pawnshop, RD Pawnshop, Villarica Pawnshop, BDO Network Bank, BDO branches, The SM Store, and SM Business Service Centers nationwide), Pick-up Cash Cebuana (for Cebuana Lhuillier), and Pick-up Cash MLKP (for M. Lhuillier Kwarta Padala)
5. Fill in the details on the form and tap Submit.
• Sender’s name (first name, middle initial, last name)
• Account of the Sender
• Sender’s contact number, address, birth date (month, date, year)
• Amount to be sent by the sender
• Receiver’s name (first name, middle initial, last name)
• Receiver’s mobile number
• Receiver’s contact number, address, birth date (month, date, year), and gender
• Message to the receiver
• Purpose of Transaction
6. Double-check the information submitted and tap Continue.
7. Wait for the reference number to appear at the top of the screen and share it with the receiver.
Note: You may also get the reference number through email notification.
For the receiver:
1. Receive the complete reference number from the sender.
2. Go to the nearest BDO partner remittance center or BDO branch.
3. Fill out the Receive Money Form with the following details:
• Sender’s Name (complete)
• Receiver’s Name (complete)
• Reference Number
• Amount to claim
4. Submit the accomplished form with 1 valid ID at the counter.
5. Sign and receive your copy of the computer-generated Receive Money Form.
6. Get the cash.
Note: Receivers may claim the cash within 2 to 4 working days from the day it was sent.
Important reminders:
• Customers can pick up cash at any BDO Branch starting June 15, 2020.
• BDO advises the senders to copy the receiver’s name as appeared on their valid IDs to avoid inconvenience.
• Those who will claim the cash on partner remittances centers and BDO branches are required to wear face masks and observe social distancing.
• To send money through the BDO cash card, users will need to enroll it first online.
• Sender may save the form as a template for future transactions.
• All BDO branches in NCR, except these following branches, will be open Mondays to Fridays until 2 PM. Provincial branches are open until 3 PM.
• Palawan Express branches are open daily from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, but business hours of some branches may vary because of the COVID-19 situation.
• Cebuana Lhuillier branches in NCR, Mindanao, Romblon, Western Visayas, and Luzon are open daily from 8 AM to 5 PM, but business hours of some branches may vary because of the COVID-19 situation. Branches in Masbate, Eastern Visayas, and Siquijor welcome customers until 6 PM.
