Huawei Band 6 with a large AMOLED screen, 2-week battery announced - Android

It’s not clear if the name jump is due to the recent release of the Mi Band 6, but it’s here nonetheless. The Huawei Band 6 features a large 1.47-inch AMOLED screen with a 268 x 194-pixel resolution. Based on the picture, the band’s screen is almost like a real smartwatch.

The screen is noticeably larger than the Band 4 Pro, which was only at 0.95-inch. The bigger screen allows for new watch faces, which you can browse through a dedicated Watch Face Store app.

This rectangular screen has thin bezels, resulting to a 64% screen-to-body ratio.

Without the strap, the Band 6 only weighs 18g. It also has a single side button for navigation. The entire body is sealed, which allows for a 5ATM water resistance. As for the battery, Huawei claims it can last for two weeks or 10 days of heavy use. A quick 5-minute top-up with its magnetic charger can already give 2 days of battery life.

Being a fitness tracker, the Band 6 has Huawei’s TruSeen 4.0 heart-rate monitoring, TrueSleep 2.0 for sleep, and TruRelax 2.0 pressure monitoring. It also managed to have a SpO2 for blood oxygen monitoring.

As for activity tracking, the Huawei Band 6 has 96 different sports modes. Typical wearable features are also present like notifications, call and message alerts, remote camera shutter, and playback controls. It connects to your Android or iOS phone via Bluetooth 5.0

The Huawei Band 6 is now available in Malaysia for a price of RM219 (around Php2,600). You can get it in Graphite Black, Forest Green, and Amber Sunrise.
