Huawei has a new wireless earphones for the fans – the Huawei FreeLace Pro.
The Huawei FreeLace Pro, as the name suggests, is an upgrade to the FreeLace that’s available in the Philippines for Php3,490. I personally own the old non-Pro model and loved its sound and reliability since I got it.
Going back, the FreeLace Pro’s biggest addition is the Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). It has three microphones to enable ANC and for clear voice pick up during calls.
Huawei also upgraded the speaker drivers to 14mm from 9.2mm. That should offer a clearer, fuller, and deeper bass. Keeping the lows thumping is its in-ear design, which now has wingtips for improved fit.
It still has the sturdy neckband design that’s IPX5 water-resistant for workouts, being caught in the rain, and whatnot.
There’s a panel for the volume controls, play/pause, and power button. The built-in Type-C port is still here, so you can plug and charge it directly to a Huawei P40 Pro, SuperCharge power bank, or any Type-C source.

Speaking of charging, the FreeLace Pro bags a 150mAh battery that promises 16 hours of life with ANC enabled. You can stretch to 24 hours with AND disabled.
The Huawei FreeLace Pro has a price of CNY599 (around Php4,200) and will come in Black, White, and Green. It will be available in China on August 26, with international release details, including the Philippines, are yet to be announced. It should hit the global stage alongside the also-new MateBook X.
