First of all, I would like to greet our beloved Metro Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso a very happy and blessed birthday today, October 24, 2020!
A lot of positive changes have happened here in Manila since he took office and I am deeply grateful to him for being on top of all those and making our dream of having a better city a reality.
I know that his work became exponentially hard because of the COVID-19 pandemic so I join all Manilenyos in praying for him that God may sustain him in every way; Physically, mentally, and spiritually.
Last October 22, Yorme shared a photo of himself on his official Facebook page wearing a new gadget that he bought for himself as personal birthday present.
He said, "My Bday (Oct 23) gift to myself. #BagongYoyo #SpreadLoveNotHate #LoveIsLove <3
🌈"
Many of you messaged me asking me what exactly that device is so you could also check it out for yourselves and perhaps even buy it.
Well, after seeing the photo, I am 100% sure that it's an Apple Watch with a Pride Sport Band.
I know that "Yoyo" a street term for "Relo" or wristwatch and #LoveIsLove is a hashtag used by the LGBTQ+ community -- so given all of these information, I think I hit the nail right on its head.
However, what I can't tell you for certain is the exact model of that Apple Watch because from afar, all current models of this wearable look almost identical.
My hunch is that Yorme simply bought the most affordable model, which is the Apple Watch Series 3 priced at just PHP 10,990, since he is known for being frugal and very simple.
However, it's also possible that he got the Apple Watch Series 5 since official Apple retailers have recently lowered the SRP of that model by PHP 5,000 in preparation for the local release of the 2020 Apple Watch Series 6 and Apple Watch SE versions.
Now, as for the band, I'm again 100% sure that it's 40mm Pride Edition Sport Band for Apple Watch that sells for PHP 2,790 at Apple Online Store Philippines.
This is the watch band that you'd want to wear if you want to show your unconditional support for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans-sexual, and Queer Community across the world.
Before seeing this photo, I thought that being a Manilenyo and TondoBoy are the only things that are common between me and Yorme Isko Moreno. Now, I'm happy to know we are also both Apple fans and supporters of Love across all genders and in all forms.
Happy Birthday again, Yorme! Wishing you the best in life and everything that your heart desires!
