MediaTek Helio G35 and G25 processors launched to power entry-level gaming phones - Android

When we say cheap smartphones, we mean really cheap devices that cost about Php5,000. Starting with the MediaTek Helio G35, this one lacks A7x cores but do has eight Cortex-A53 cores. It is built on a 12nm process, with a clock speed of 2.3GHz. It can accommodate up to 6GB of 1600MHz LPDDR4X RAM and eMMC 5.1 storage.

For graphics, there’s the PowerVR GE8320 GPU clocked at 680MHz, identical to what the Helio P35 have. To further increase the CPU and GPU performance, the Helio G25 comes with HyperEngine technology for optimization.

This MediaTek chipset can also support FHD+ displays, which we expect to see in more entry-level smartphones to come.

Realme C11 with Helio G35

The Helio G35 can also accommodate up to 25-megapixel cameras, or two 13-megapixel sensors for dual-camera setups. Plus, support for Electronic Image Stabilization, Rolling Shutter Compensation, and Multi-Frame Noise Reduction.

Connectivity wise, it comes with dual-band WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac. Bluetooth 5.0, FM Radio, VoLTE, and ViLTE.

You can find all those features on the MediaTek Helio G25 processor. But this time, the clock speed is down to 2.0GHz. Plus, it only has support for up to 21-megapixel camera (or 13-megapixel + 8-megapixel), and HD+ screens.

The first devices to use the MediaTek Helio G32 and G25 processors are the Realme C11, Redmi 9A, and Redmi 9C, all of which are expected to arrive this July.
