The new OPPO Ace 2 Evangelion Limited Edition smartphone has been officially announced. And it’s not just about the custom decals, as there tons of other EVA-styled accessories included.
To start, the OPPO Ace2 Evangelion has a green and purple color scheme similar to the EVA-01. There are also EVA-themed wallpapers included and a distinctive phone case to match the overall look of the handset. In terms of specs, they are just the same.
The box of the OPPO Ace2 EVA edition is definitely out of this world. There’s a limited edition charge charger, cable, and headset. OPPO even made the SIM ejector tool look like the Spear of Longinus. As expected, the Air VOOC charger is not included in the package and is sold separately.
Aside from the phone itself, there’s also the OPPO Enco W31 TWS earbuds and OPPO Air VOOC wireless charger. You can even use an OPPO smart band or OPPO Watch to complete your gear.
But all these bells and whistles are not cheap. Just like any other collector’s item out there, the price can be quite expensive. Fortunately, this one’s on the ‘affordable’ side considering it’s only 10% more expensive than the regular Ace2.
Only 10,000 units of the OPPO Ace2 EVA edition will be made available globally. It is priced at CNY 4,400 or around Php32,000 when converted directly to Philippine peso (before taxes and duties). The handset will be available in China by June 1, 2020.
On the other hand, the OPPO Watch Eva edition is priced at CNY 2,200 or around Php15,600. The OPPO Enco W31 costs CNY 400 (~Php2,800) while the AirVOOC is CNY 300 (~Php2,100) — both limited to only 5,000 units.
If you don’t want to spend money for a new smartphone, you can opt for the custom EVA theme and wallpapers for OPPO smartphones.
