OPPO has introduced its first budget-friendly fitness tracker, the aptly named OPPO Band.
The OPPO Band has most of the features that its many competitors have. But mainly, the star of the show is the bright and colorful 1.1-inch AMOLED screen, with 100% DCI-P3 coverage and protected by a scratch-resistant 2.5D glass.
Today’s buzzword on wearables, the SpO2 sensor, is also present, helping track blood oxygen levels. Real-time heart rate monitoring is also present.
Made of activity tracking, the OPPO Band has 12 workout modes: outdoor and indoor run, fat burn run, outdoor walk, outdoor and indoor cycling, elliptical, rowing, badminton, cricket, yoga, and even swimming thanks to its 50ATM water resistance and swim-safe protection.
Typical smart band features are also here. There’s your notifications, alarm, timer, camera trigger, weather, find my phone, and more.
Also, thanks to its AMOLED screen, you have the option to choose from 40+ watch faces. There’s the X one with activity bars that we also saw on the fancy OPPO Watch.
Charging is done via a proprietary cradle, which you’d be only doing every 12 days, depending on how you use it.
The OPPO Watch has a price of Php1,699 in the Philippines and will be available starting April 2021 together with the OPPO Enco X. No word yet if the fancier OPPO Band Style will make it here.
