OPPO has launched the Reno 3A in Japan. The model is the latest of the Reno-series smartphones made up of the Reno 3, Reno 3 Pro, and Reno 3 Vitality.
The OPPO Reno 3A appears to be very similar to OPPO A92, which just came out in the Philippines, in terms of processor used and the cameras.
It comes with quad rear camera setup and notched selfie camera. It is going to be available in two colors and also has a single RAM and storage option. Some e-tailers in Japan have already listed it on their website but OPPO is yet to disclose when it will be available in the international market.
OPPO Reno 3A is a dual SIM smartphone that runs on Android 10-based ColorOS 7.1 operating system. The model features a 6.44-inch FHD AMOLED display with 1,080 x 2,400 pixels resolution, a screen to body ratio of 89.9%, and a UD fingerprint scanner. There is also a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top of the display. It also has an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC chip paired with 6GB of RAM. The device has a 128GB inbuilt storage that can be expanded up to 256GB via micro SD card.
As for connectivity, options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 2.4GHz/5GHz, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, and a USB-C port. The phone also packs a 4,025mAh battery with support for Quick Charge. Sensors onboard include the ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, gyro sensor, magnetic sensor, and accelerometer sensor.
For photography, OPPO Reno 3A is equipped with a quad rear camera that has a 48-megapixel main camera with lens of f/1.7, an 8-megapixel secondary camera with an ultra-wide lens, and a twin 2-megapixel camera sensors with a lens of f/2.0.
The front camera is placed inside the notch on the display and it is equipped with a 16-megapixel sensor with a lens of f/2.0 for video calls and selfie.

OPPO on its Japan website has listed the price of the OPPO Reno 3A with 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage, at JPY39,800 (~Php18,700). The phone comes in two colors, White that has a blue gradient on it, and Black. The phone is expected to be on sale from June 25.
