It’s only been over a year since the original Reno came out. But in the smartphone world, 1 year is like an eternity. Now, we have the 4th installment to the Reno series. Meet the new OPPO Reno 4 and Reno 4 Pro.
Just like predecessors, the new OPPO Reno 4 and Reno 4 Pro are meant to cater to those who want a premium smartphone experience without needing to pay flagship-level prices.
For starters, the OPPO Reno 4 Pro now has an improved camera setup with its 48-megapixel main sensor equipped with OIS and a supporting telephoto lens. There’s also a 90Hz refresh rate for its 6.5-inch display and a punch hole to house the 32-megapixel front-facing camera.
On the other hand, the standard OPPO Reno 4 also has a 48-megapixel primary lens together with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide and 2-megapixel depth sensor. The difference is in the Reno 4 Pro’s 12-megapixel ultra-wide and 13-megapixel telephoto lens capable of doing 5x hybrid optical and 20x digital zoom.
These new OPPO phones also have Live HDR video which can help in detail preservation as well as some color accuracy and low light improvements.
The new OPPO Reno 4 series are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor, up to 12GB RAM, and up to 256GB onboard storage. Software-wise, it’s using the latest ColorOS 7.2 that’s based on Android 10.
Batteries of both devices have 4,000mAh capacity and 65W fast wired SuperVOOC 2.0 charging support. Colors available for the standard are purple, black, and blue while the Pro will be sold in green, blue and red Reno Glow colors.
Take note that these prices below are direct Philippine peso conversion. TThe two handsets will be sold in China beginning June 12. International availability is currently unknown.
