OPPO has silently revealed the Reno 5 4G.
The OPPO Reno 5 4G is possibly the unit that most markets like the Philippines will be getting, unlike the previously announced Reno 5 5G and Reno 5 Pro 5G models. The only main difference here is, of course, are the connectivity features brought by a different processor.
With the Reno 5 4G, you are only getting a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G chipset, which is sadly the same processor found on its predecessor, the Reno 4.
On the upside, it now has a faster 90Hz 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with a responsive 180Hz touch sampling. It also has sRGB coverage, DCI-P3 color, HD support for Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, and Dolby Atmos audio.
OPPO has also upgraded the cameras. This thing now has a 64-megapixel main shooter with a bright f/1.7 aperture, versus the 48-megapixel camera of the former. The 44-megapixel selfie camera is also sharper than the 32-megapixel of the Reno 4.
The Reno 5 4G also has a bigger 4,300mAh battery and a much faster 50W fast charging support. But as a bonus, it comes with a 65W fast charger in the box, which you can use on other high-powered devices like a laptop. Fully charging the Reno 5 will only take about 48 minutes. It will then ship with the latest Android 11-based ColorOS 11 interface.
Pricing for the the OPPO Reno 5 4G is at VND8,690,000 (around Php18,100) and will be initially available in Vietnam. Its release details in the Philippines are yet to be announced.
