After a couple of leaks and rumors, the OPPO Reno 5 5G and Reno 5 Pro 5G models have been finally made official right in time for the holiday season.
Let’s start with the OPPO Reno 5 5G. This thing is powered by the reliable Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor, which you can get with 8GB/128GB or 12GB/256GB of RAM and storage configuration.
The rest of the specs are something you’d expect from a 2020 smartphone. There’s a smooth 90Hz 6.43-inch 90Hz screen, a punch-hole for the selfie camera, 64-megapixel main shooter on the back, and an in-display fingerprint scanner.
It then comes with a 4,300mAh battery, with OPPO’s whopping 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 fast charging.
The OPPO Reno 5 5G has a price of CNY2,699 (around Php19,800) for the 8GB/128GB, while the 12GB/256GB is at CNY2,999 (around Php22,000).
The OPPO Reno 5 Pro 5G has a more powerful MediaTek Dimensity 1000 Plus. The screen panel is similar, only larger at 6.55-inches.
Also, the Pro model gets to have a faster RAM capacity, a slightly bigger battery, WiFi 6, and a fiery Star Wish Red color option. Albeit, it lacks a headphone jack. Other than that, everything is the same.
The Reno 5 Pro 5G has a price of CNY3,399 (around Php24,900) for the 8GB/128GB, while the 12GB/256GB will be at CNY3,799 (around Php27,900). Both models are now available for pre-order in China. Their release details in markets like the Philippines is yet to be known.
