OPPO to launch its first Smart TV in October - Android

In its OPPO Developer Conference 2020, the company announced that it will be launching the very first OPPO Smart TV to expand its ecosystem of products.

OPPO is now one of the smartphone manufacturers who are now manufacturing TVs, joining Realme, OnePlus, Xiaomi, Nokia, and Honor. It won’t be long until Vivo — part of Realme’s and OPPO’s BKK Electronics parent company — to launch its own TV.

Yi Wei, OPPO’s General Manager, didn’t reveal much about what the TV would look like and its features. Albeit, rumor has it that it will come in 55 and 65-inches, with varying remote controls that suggest different features.

What we’re certain is, it will rely on Google’s Android TV platform, allowing users to download different apps, streaming services, and even games. It should also come with Chromecast built-in.

It should at least have a stereo speaker setup with Dolby Audio. OPPO might go with an IPS panel, but them using an OLED screen is also plausible.
