Chinese smartphone manufacturer OPPO and Japanese design studio Nendo are seeking to innovate the foldable smartphone as the two come up with the “slide-phone” design which relies on three hinges on the X-axis.

In a press release, the two companies were quoted for saying that the groundbreaking feature was developed out of a need to infuse more functionality into the handset. Which the device indeed manages to do by being able to change forms and sizes according to the occasion.
