Filipino-made sports game, PBA Basketball Slam: Arcade Edition, has just reached Steam and is currently playable as an Early Access release.
The game is a PC port of the highly-popular mobile title on Google Play Store of the same name, except the “Arcade Edition” label.
Based on Philippine Basketball Association, the game’s roster consists of teams and players as locals know them in the professional stage of the sport. As an arcade title, it plays on a 2-versus-2 full court basketball that features an exaggerated, high-octane action, which draw inspiration from “NBA Jam” and its later derivatives.

Still in its early access, the game offers some modest contents which sees players experiencing a Quick Game mode on any of the six court locations, either with a keyboard or external gamepad. But more contents will come along the way as the game reaches past the Early Access stage.
The game can be played by up to four players via local multiplayer or Steam’ Remote Play Together. Alternatively, players can also choose to compete against AI.
Aimed for both local and international audiences, the game includes funny and witty commentaries based on four languages—English, Tagalog, Spanish, and Portuguese.
