In June, the government eased the lockdown guidelines across parts of the country to help the economy heal. This allowed most Filipinos to go back to work and retail stores resume their operations.

IDC reports that Realme continues to top the market thanks to entry-level devices like the Realme C11 and C15. The brand managed to scoop a 25.4% market share for Q3 2020. That’s an impressive 962.5% annual growth for a brand that’s only two years old.

Vivo also stayed at the second spot thanks to its entry-level smartphones like the Y20i and Y30. The release of the high-end, 5G-equipped Vivo X50 series also helped the brand.

OPPO’s annual growth declined but still managed to stay at the top three thanks to entry-level and midrange releases like the Reno 4.

The power of entry-level phones in the Philippines is exhibited in Huawei’s numbers. The struggling company managed to have a 38.9% annual growth thanks to the Huawei Y6P, Y7 2019, and its newly-launched online storage.
