PLDT expects to get 100,000 broadband installations per month - Android

As per Menardo Jimenez, PLDT senior VP and head of home business, they expect to see a spike of at least 100,000 per month of home broadband installation.

During the third quarter of 2020, they already have seen a spike of approximately 72,000 per month of new broadband installation. That’s much higher than the monthly average of 40,000 last year.

To address the increasing demand, Jimenez said that they are ramping up their installation capability.

PLDT and Smart are also pouring a lot of resources to improve the quality of their services. The ISP said that they had added 279 5G base stations in the country by September 2020. Its home broadband service coverage has also increased to 46%.

Moreover, PLDT is upgrading its ADSL copper wire users to fiber for FREE. These are just the steps the company is taking in an attempt to satisfy its customers, especially now that more competition are in the horizon.
