According to data recorded by Ookla, PLDT has reigned supreme in 16 out of 17 regions in the Philippines, based on average download and upload speeds, as of Q1 2021.
In particular, the Philippine telecom giant has the lead in the following regions: Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM), Calabarzon, Cagayan Valley, Caraga, Central Luzon, Central Visayas, Cordillera Administrative Region, Davao Region, Eastern Visayas, Ilocos Region, Eastern Visayas, Metro Manila, MIMAROPA, Northern Mindanao, Soccsksargen, Western Visayas, and Zamboanga Peninsula.
Despite PLDT being placed at the pedestal, no information has been disclosed regarding the internet speeds per region coming from the company itself.

PLDT has been hitting headlines recently when it comes to its business operations, following the government’s push for faster and better internet among major players in the industry, that see it investing heavily in critical infrastructures countrywide.
