Xiaomi’s sub-brand, POCO, just launched its cheapest smartphone to date — the POCO C3.
Just by the looks, you can already tell that the POCO C3 is a lot like similar to the Redmi 9C. Only this time, it lacks a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, it has a two-tone texture and a distinct POCO logo below the square camera glass.
Their goes deep on the internals. The C3 is powered by the same MediaTek Helio G35 octa-core processor, which you can get with either 3GB or 4GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB of expandable storage.
There’s a 6.53-inch HD+ screen on the front, with a waterdrop notch on the top for the 5-megapixel camera. While the 2×2 camera layout on the back has the three cameras, with the LED flash completing the quadfecta.
Keeping the lights on is a generous 5,000mAh battery with 10W fast charging. It also has a P2i nano-coating for splash proofing.
The POCO C3 has a starting price of INR7,499 (around Php4,900) for the 3GB/32GB model, while the 4GB/64GB configuration will be at INR8,999 (around Php5,900). It will be available in India starting October 16, while its release in other markets is yet to be announced.
Since we already have the Redmi 9C in the Philippines, we don’t expect its clone to also arrive in the country anytime soon.
