Panasonic’s rugged tablet line gets a refresh with the new Panasonic Toughbook A3.
Made for the outdoorsy and those who work in construction, emergency services, and whatnot, the Panasonic Toughbook A3 has a tough build that is MIL-STD-810H compliant and has an IP65 rating for water and dust resistance. It also has Panasonic Compass features for on-the-job features.
Being a niche device, enterprise buyers can have it rigged with a barcode scanner, a second USB Type-A port, or a smart card reader. It also has five configurable physical buttons for easy access, even when wearing gloves.
The Toughbook A3 also comes with two 3,200mAh battery, which is hot-swappable so you can continuously work even when it runs out. Panasonic is also offering a 5,500mAh option that upgrades its 8 hours on-time to 15 hours. With its unique battery setup, the tablet had to use a proprietary AC adapter.

As for the usual tablet features, the Panasonic Toughbook A3 has a 10.1-inch FHD+ screen, with a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, and maxes out at 800-nits of brightness. There are 5-megapixel and 8-megapixel cameras in front and back, respectively.
Under the hood, it runs on a slightly outdated Android 9 Pie OS and Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor, with 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage. Coverage for most navigation systems are also present.
The Panasonic Toughbook A3 has a price of GBP1,182 (~Php73,400) and will be available in the UK this August.
