In response to the ongoing ravaging effect of COVID-19, the Pasig local government unit has come up with a fund amounting to Php1.2 billion as aimed at cultivating online learning in the city’s public schools.
The planned move plays ancillary to the Department of Education’s announcement of the resumption of classes on August 24, 2020, albeit at a remote setting.
Spearheading the initiative is the city’s own Mayor itself, Vico Sotto, who claimed that the procured devices will be handed over to both students (elementary and high school) and teachers in Pasig.
