Realme has introduced its latest midrange superstars, the Realme 8 and 8 Pro.
The Realme 8 and 8 Pro offers a couple of improvements over their predecessor. Albeit, especially the Pro model, it kept a couple of key features that its older brother have — primarily the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor.
On the upside, it now has a whopping 108-megapixel Samsung HM2 sensor, which has a 9-in-1 pixel binning to output brighter 12-megapixel images that’s great for low-light shots.
It also has a brighter 6.4-inch Super AMOLED screen that peaks at 1,000-nits. The refresh rate is still at 60Hz, but the touch sampling is at 180Hz. What’s ironic is the drop to 50W charging support, while the 7 Pro enjoyed a 65W fast charger.
On the other hand, the Realme 8 dropped the fast 90Hz refresh rate in lieu of a more vibrant Super AMOLED screen. As a result, it was able to have an in-display fingerprint scanner like the Pro model.
Unlike the Pro model, this one only has a 64-megapixel main shooter, 30W fast charger, but a bigger 5,000mAh battery.
The Realme 8 Pro has an official price of INR17,999 (around Php12,000) for the 6GB/128GB, while the 8GB/128GB is at INR19,999 (around Php13,400). On the other hand, the Realme 8 4GB/128GB is priced at INR14,999 (around Php10,000), 6GB/128GB at INR15,999 (around Php10,700), and 8GB/128GB at INR16,999 (around Php11,400). It’s now available in India, while its release date in the Philippines shall be announced soon.
