Realme may not be the first company to use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G chip—that title goes to Xiaomi with its Mi 11 handset—but the company is claiming a different record instead. Teased with a February launch, the Realme Race is a flagship smartphone and the first to use a 160Hz screen.
Realme President Xu Qi has hinted on microblogging site Weibo that the Realme Race smartphone will become official after the Chinese Spring Festival. That’s on February 12, which means the phone will see release during the second half of February.

Besides sporting the SD 888 and a screen with the fastest refresh rate yet, the Realme Race will reportedly feature a Quad HD+ OLED display measuring 6.8 inches. With the capabilities of SD 888, the Race is predicted to come with at least 128GB storage, up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, 5000mAh battery, and 125W charging tech.
A beefed-up variant, called the Realme Race Pro, is also rumored to be in the works. It’s not entirely clear if the Pro will also have the same February release.
