Xiaomi just released details about the latest Redmi budget phones, Redmi 9A and Redmi 9C, shortly after unveiling the Redmi 9 earlier this month.
Redmi has so far been discrete in releasing key specs of these smartphones, but a Facebook post by Xiaomi Malaysia has revealed some information about the new products.
The Redmi 9A will run on Helio G25 processor at the helm with 2GB RAM and storage of 32GB. It will also come with a single 13MP main camera and in front will be a 5MP selfie camera. On the other hand, the Redmi 9C will be powered by Helio G35 chipset, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB onboard storage.

The Redmi 9C and 9A both pack 6.53-inch HD+ waterdrop notch displays and fueled by a massive 5,000 mAh battery. In addition, the two handsets will share the same 5-megapixel selfie and 13-megapixel main camera. The 9C’s main camera is joined by two more units, although there’s not much information about them. There is also a fingerprint reader mounted on the rear of the 9C, which is absent in the 9A.
Talking of the prices, the Redmi 9A’s price is RM359 (~Php4,500), while the Redmi 9C is priced at RM429 (~Php5,300). It is expected that the 9A will be available for sale in Malaysia beginning July 7 via Lazada, while the 9C is expected to be released by the end of this month.
The Xiaomi Redmi 9A is scheduled to be launched in the Philippines in the coming weeks.
