It’s official. Xiaomi Philippines announced that its upcoming-entry level device, the Redmi 9A, will launch in the country on July 14.
The confirmation did not come as a surprise. Just a few weeks ago, the said Xiaomi device was spotted on the brand’s July-August 2020 brochure.
To recall, the Redmi 9A comes in a 6.53-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop notch at the center. The notch houses a 5-megapixel front-facing camera while at the back of the device is a single 13-megapixel camera.

In terms of performance, MediaTek Helio G25 octa-core processor powers the handset. There’s also 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The device also comes with the latest Android 10 with MIUI 12. Moreover, the Redmi 9A features a generous 5,000mAh battery. Unfortunately, the smartphone does not have a fingerprint scanner.
The Redmi 9A comes in three colors namely grey, blue and green. According to a Lazada listing, the Redmi 9A will be priced at only Php4,690.
