Xiaomi has officially announced the Redmi AirDots 2 earphones. The True Wireless Stereo (TWS) headset will be launched on July 22 with a price tag of about Php 540 (US$11) on a crowdfunding platform. The budget earphones will be sold at the  regular retail price of about Php 690 (US$14) after the campaign.

Marketing materials released by Xiaomi shows the Redmi AirDots 2 will pack sound drivers of 7.2 mm and DSP technology for noise-reduction. Also featured on the low price TWS earphones is the Xiaomi’s AI assistant, which with a simple double tap on the earbuds gets it activated.

The Redmi AirDots 2 also has some additional functions that allows you easily synchronize it to a smartphone. The budget earphones support bluetooth 5.0 connectivity with each piece weighing about 4.1g.

The Redmi AirDots 2 on a single charge can give users around 4 four hours of battery life. There’s also the charging case that can give users an additional 12 hours of usage.

Finally, the lightweight Redmi AirDots 2 earphones which comes with a cap for small, medium or large ear sizes. The Redmi AirDots 2 will go on sale in China on Wednesday, July 22 at 10AM.
