Without a doubt, both the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro and Realme 6 are equally interesting devices. They are easily the best bang-for-the-buck smartphones that you can get for the price.
The scores between the two are pretty close, so let’s dig in deeper to see which one is better for you.
For starters, the Realme 6 has a faster 90Hz refresh rate screen. This will make gaming look smoother — the effect is also noticeable in browsing the interface and doing mundane tasks.
Speaking of speed, the Realme 6 features a MediaTek Helio G90T octa-core processor. It’s considered one of the most powerful midrange chipsets in terms of gaming and other CPU intensive tasks.

On the other hand, Redmi Note 9 Pro uses the newer Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor. Thanks to its smaller 8nm build, the Snapdragon 720G is more efficient in consuming power and lessens the chance of overheating. It also comes with newer features like Bluetooth 5.1.
When it comes to battery, this is probably the only area where the Redmi Note 9 Pro shines. It has a 5,020mAh battery, which is noticeably bigger than the 4,300mAh capacity on the Realme 6. Both devices come with 30W of fast charging.
The two shares the same cameras on the back. They both come with 64-megapixel main shooters and 8-megapixel ultra-wide. But to Xiaomi‘s credit, the Redmi Note 9 Pro does come with a slightly sharper 5-megapixel (vs 2-megapixel) macro camera and a 960fps slow-mo recording.
Probably the biggest lead of the Realme 6 is its smooth 90Hz refresh rate. This will make everything look really fast — from browsing the interface to playing games.
If you’re like most people who prefer speed above else, then getting the Realme 6 is the best way to go. It features a faster screen and a more powerful processor. The best part is, the top-of-the-line model with 8GB of RAM is available in the Philippines for Php13,990. A cheaper 4GB/128GB model is also available for Php11,990.
For the same price, you’re only getting 6GB of RAM on the top Redmi Note 9 Pro model. Although, it does come with a noticeably bigger battery, a larger screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and a more efficient processor. A base 6GB/64GB model is also available for Php12,490.
