Samsung seems to be unstoppable when it comes to new smartphone releases. Today, the South Korean brand officially announced another addition to its mid-range portfolio with the Galaxy A31.

UPDATE as of June 18, 2020: The Samsung Galaxy A31 is now in the Philippines for a price of Php14,990.

In separate Facebook posts, CMK cellphones and J10 Computer Center revealed the official pricing and availability of the new handset.

By looking at its specs, the Samsung Galaxy A31 is a clear upgrade from its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy A30s. This announcement comes several days after the Galaxy A41 was made official.

One of the major improvements of the Samsung Galaxy A31 is in the optics department. It now has four cameras at the back placed inside a rectangular bump, quite similar to other more expensive Samsung phones. Its rear cameras include 48-megapixel main shooter, an 8-megapixel 123° ultra-wide lens, a 5-megapixel depth sensor, and a 5-megapixel macro camera. On the other hand, it has an improved 20-megapixel selfie camera.

The Samsung Galaxy A31 also features a 6.4-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display and a notch at the upper center of the screen. Performance-wise, MediaTek Helio P65 powers the handset, paired up with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

Its other features include a fingerprint sensor, 3.5mm audio jack, and an FM Radio. Moreover, it has a massive 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support.

In addition, the Samsung Galaxy A31 has a glasstic body with a two-tone finish. It is available in four colors namely: Black, Blue, Red, and White.
