We’re only a couple of days until the Samsung Unpacked 2020 event happens. Which also means that we already have pretty much all the details about the upcoming devices thanks to all the leaks and rumors we got in the last few months.
Days before its official release on August 5, we got another leak for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G. And if these details are accurate, then we might be looking at the device’s design in all its glory.
The first you’d notice is this new Mystic Bronze color, something we saw on the new Galaxy Z Flip 5G. It will also be available in a Mystic Black color option.
One of the main complaints the we had on the first Galaxy Fold was its awkwardly small outside screen. Something that Samsung fixed in the next generation, now that it has a large 6.23-inch AMOLED display on the front, filling the entire space. There’s also a punch-hole on the middle for selfies, just like what the Galaxy S20 series have.
Still, the main highlight here is the screen on the inside, which is now at 7.7-inches. It’s still an AMOLED panel, but with a 120Hz refresh rate of the Galaxy S20 Ultra. Unlike the bizarre notch that took up a lot of space in the first-gen, this one has the 10-megapixel selfie camera tucked away in a punch-hole to give more room for this foldable screen.
We then have the triple camera setup on the back, with a similar design to the upcoming Galaxy Note 20 series. It’s expected to pack a 64-megapixel main camera, 12-megapixel ultra-wide, and another 12-megapixel sensor.
A previous rumor suggest that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G will have the same price as its predecessor, but we can never know for sure until its official release on August 5.
