Smart Communications Inc. announced that its 5G services are now available in more locations across the Philippines.
In a recent Facebook post, the telco announced that Smart 5G is now available in 2,340 locations across the country. The company added the words “and counting” hinting that more sites will be added soon.

The numbers are 640 higher than its previous estimate of having 1,700 5G locations by March of 2021.
This makes Smart the Philippine telco with the highest 5G-supported locations. In comparison, Globe 5G is only available in about 1,200 locations last March, while DITO’s network is only currently available in select parts of Davao and Cebu.

Recently, the company bragged about the advancements it made in network rollout last 2020 as they now have 10,000 cell sites and 429,000km of fiber infrastructure.
The company also rolled out 5G Waze pins that let users easily find 5G locations via the popular traffic app.
