Sony has recently released two CFexpress Type A memory cards, the CEA-G80T and CEA-G160T.
Available in 80GB and 160GB, the Sony CEA-G80T and CEA-G160T have up to writing and reading speeds up to 700 MB/s and 800 MB/s, respectively. Designed for content creators, the memory cards support store more than 1,000 uncompressed RAW photos and 4K videos. It has an effective heat dissipation design that allows users to record 4K videos on a long period of time and IP57 rating for water and dust resistance. For recovering accidentally deleted RAW images and 4K videos, the memory cards come with Memory Card File Rescue 5. The CFexpress
Type A cards may also receive warnings and before it reaches the storage limit through the Sony Media Scan Utility 6 media diagnostic software.
The CFexpress Type A memory cards also transfer data approximately 2.8 times faster than with conventional media.
Meanwhile, the dedicated MRW-G2 card reader can transfer files up to 10Gbps which allows creators to experience an efficient workflow with high-volume data. It is compatible not only to the mentioned CFexpress Type A, but also to SDXC/SDHC (UHS-I and UHS-II) memory cards.
