The Xiaomi Mi 11 is now official and it is the first smartphone powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 888 chipset, along with top-notch specs.
Up front, the Mi 11 sports a 6.81-inch QHD+ AMOLED display with all the bells and whistles including an in-display fingerprint scanner, a 120Hz refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and up to 1,500 nits of brightness, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.
Inside, the Snapdragon 888 is paired with three RAM/storage variants — 8GB + 128G, 8GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 256GB. There’s no microSD expansion slot, but the storage should be more than enough for most. It also has a 4,600mAh battery with a 55-watt wired and 10-watt wireless fast charging.

Other pertinent specs include 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 6, Harman Kardon tuned stereo speakers, and MIUI 12.
The Mi 11 comes in six colors — black, white, blue, vegan leather, purple leather, and some special edition versions with Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun’s signature. As reported, it won’t come with a charger in the box in an effort to keep it green.
The Mi 11 are priced at CNY 3,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model, CNY 4,299 for the 8GB + 256GB, and CNY 4,699 for the 12GB + 256GB. It will be up for pre-order in China starting January 1, 2021.
